This book, devoted mainly on the Extractive Metallurgy of Non-ferrous Metals, is inspired by the Author’s association with the non-ferrous metallurgical industry for over 40 years and passion for developing innovative extractive metallurgical processes. The present book provides ready-to understand extractive metallurgical processes in the area of non-ferrous metals. A significant high light of this book is its simplified approach and method of presentation.

A professionally qualified chemist, R. Raghavan graduated from the University of Madras. He holds a Ph.D in Chemistry from Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur and received professional metallurgical engineering qualification (AMIM) from Indian Institute of Metals, Kolkata.
He has been associated with Hindustan Zinc Limited, and with Non-ferrous Materials Technology Development Centre, an autonomous R & D Centre at Hyderabad.
The author has published a book on Chemical Analysis in Non-ferrous Extractive Metallurgy and as well as 45 papers in national and international journals of repute in the field of process metallurgy and chemical analysis. He is a Chartered Chemist (CChem) from The Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC), ASTM International, USA. Indian Society of Analytical Scientists (ISAS), Bombay. Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Kolkata. He was associated with Indian Institute of Metals-Udaipur Chapter as Joint Secretary. He is presently Vice President of Royal Society of Chemistry, Chennai Region.
He has been empanelled as one of the Technical Assessors with National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) and Chief Advisor to Nonferrous Metallurgical Research Foundation, Chennai.
