The common errors encountered in thesis writing and the ways of editing and proofreading a thesis– to ensure that it is error– free– are also dealt with in detail.

Dr. R Gopalan received his Ph.D degree from the University of Madras in 1970. He taught B.Sc., M.Sc., and M.Phil. students at Madras Christian College, Chennai for 34 years and guided several doctoral candidates. His publications include 50 research articles in international journals, 40 articles on popular science and education and 30 books. He is at present a freelance writer and teacher.
